KCBQ was a huge player in Top 40 radio for over 20 years. Shortly after this survey was out, KFMB-FM would flip from Beautiful Music to screamin' high-energy Top 40 B-100-FM to take them on. In a few more years they killed off KCBQ and the Q flipped to Adult Contemporary music.
